What Causes Burning Sensation And Cramping In Lower Abdomen During Pregnancy?
I am 4 weeks pregnant and have been experiencing burning sensations and cramping in lower abdomen the whole time. It has not been that bad that I have to take pain relievers, however last night I awoke in agony. No discharge or blood. Is this normal?
I am Dr Nilajkumar a consultant gynecologist and I will be helping you in your queries.
The burning sensation and cramping may be due to urine infection which is common in females. Another cause may be an ectopic or tubal pregnancy or a threatened abortion. Pain killers are not recommended in such situations. It is best to see your doctor, get a urine test and sonography to get a correct diagnosis and then proper treatment. Hope I was able to answer your query. Have a happy pregnancy.
Thanks for using HCM. Have a good day. Dr Nilajkumar Bagde Consultant Obstetrics and Gynecology
