What Causes Burning Sensation In The Esophagus And Stomach?
I have burning esophagus and burning in stomach. There is a feeling of a knot that anything going pass it causes pain. What can I do to ease the pain. I am taking ranitidie 150 twice a day until my appointment with the doctor on tues. What else can I do. Thanks
It is from acidity in the stomach which also reflexes to esophagus causing burning. Though you taking antacid, you can use better and more potent medicine. Take Lansoprazole and syrup of Digene. You will relieve in a couple of weeks.
Preventive measures are: Avoid smoking citrus foods tomatoes lemons and take milk in diet and if you are stressed relax. If symptoms don't relieve in one week report to an emergency room for further evaluation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Soheel Hussain Zargar,
