What Causes Chattering Of Teeth,chills And Sudden Rush Of Heat?

Last night I had terrible chills, my teeth were literally chattering and my entire body was cold. If I tightened my muscles I would get a sudden rush of heat, but my teeth would continue to chatter. This went on for about 30 - 40 minutes. I had this occur once before a few months ago. It is very scary, any idea of the cause?

Chattering of teeth, feeling of cold may be due to many reasons , these includes.
1 Malaria , this is most common cause so get in blood examination for malarial parasite .
2 Urinary tract infection , another such cause , get in blood examination for urea , uric acid and serum creasinine . Urine culture and sensitivity test is also important in such type of cases.
3 Septicemia is another such cause . Some times low grade infection causes such type of symptoms . Get in blood examination for C B C , E S R .
Some food poisoning ( low grade ) or drugs also produces such type of symptoms.
As this type of symptoms occurs second time so I recommend you please consult a physician and sort the problem.
