What Causes Chest Pain Along With Reduced Heart Rate?

I am a 59 year old female. I have mitral valve prolapse and had high BP for years. About 2 years ago my BP dropped very low so I went off of the Lisinopril. I had always struggled with bought of rapid heart rate also. Now I am experiencing very low heart rate at night even as low as 42 and in the evenings usually in the 50’s but will briefly drop into the 40’s Then at times it may go high again. I was having some chest pain. And went to the doctor but at that time I was co Verne’s with the very rapid heart rate. And they seem to thonk it is only anxiety and didn’t even do an ekg. I am so scared there may be something seriously wrong. So scared in fact I’m almost too scared to go to sleep

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Well your heart rated doesn't appear to be reduced. You Check your pulse rate after relaxing for about 15 min. Only later you consult a cardiologist if you feel it's low.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
