What Causes Chest Pain And Blood During Cough?

when I got up this morning I felt like something was in my throat and when I coughed I spit out blood and for the last couple of months Have had this chest pain could this be acid reflux and have not been able to go see a doctor because my insurance does not start till the beginning of the year what should I do?

Hello
Cough with blood in sputum is a cause of concern from many months , this may be due to .
1 Tuberculosis is the most common cause , diagnosis can be confirmed by X ray chest and sputum examiantion.
2 Severe throat infection may be the next reason , get in throat swab examination . Consult an E N T specialist and get his opinion.
3 As you mentioned that there is chest pain also with blood in throat so any type of cancer in the lungs may be the next cause of such symptoms , diagnosis can be confirmed by M R I of lungs.
In my opinion first of all consult a pulmonologist and get his opinion .
Good luck , for insurance you have to manage yourself.
