What Causes Chest Pain And Breathlessness While Sleeping?
Hi, I'm 15 years old, and about 5"8' and weigh 135lb. I have had some problems with my chest. I often have pain in my chest when i inhale and then it pops or cracks. I also have problems breathing when i sleep. I become partially paralyzed and cannot move or breath. My mother has had this problem before and does not know where in the family this comes from.

From your history it seems to orthopnea. Getting difficult in breathing while lying flat.
sometimes in panic disorder condition also we can have this condition.
certain heart problems and lung abnormality also lead to breathlessness.
