What Causes Chest Pain And Feeling Of Lump In Throat?

Hello, I am a 23 year old female and went to the ER 2 nights ago with chest pain. It went to my shoulder, arm, hand and jaw. I was watching the Olympics and just got done eating shrimp and Veggie rice (no hot sauce) The ER doc diagnosed me with GERD and gave me prevacid to take in the future. I am at school now and I have taken my Meds and it is not helping. All I ate was Chicken noodle soup. I am about 25 pounds over weight I guess. When I went to ER my heart rate was flying at 130 but I was freaking out. I have chest pain now and feel a lump in my throat but my heart rate is 72. I am a nurse with an active lifestyle even though I am slightly overweight. I exercise regularly and also get exercise at work. I dont eat proper portions which is probably why I weigh too much. I almost never drink and I cannot stand cigarettes. However I have/do smoke Marijuana socially. The only meds I take are Birth Control and I used to take Multivitamins and Flax seed Oil but I have not taken them for Months. I went to work today and looked at my labs and they were all good but they did not have my Calcium levels, Iron, Potassium or Phosphorus. My EKG was good as well as the X ray. I need to know what I can to to be absolutely certain of my diagnosis so I dont have to worry. this is the scariest thing in the world and I feel guilty as my finance wants to have a baby but I am refusing to until I have this figured out. Any advice, input, suggestions or expressed concerns are greatly appreciated. Sorry this is so long I just wanted to be accurate and provide all the info anyone would need. I am scared. Please help me.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
welcome to hcm,
chest pain radiating to left arm and shoulder hand and jaw is most likely to be a heart problem, but ae your ECG is normal it may be because of some other things like GERD or costochondritis etc
If you are too much concerned i will suggest you to have additional investigations like
complete heamogram, treadmill test,(running ECG) gastrointestinal endoscopy
for confirming the diagnosis.
hope this explains
with regards
Dr.Amarnath
