What Causes Chest Pain, Cough And Vomiting Due To Botulinum Toxin Injections?
My grandmother is 83 years old. She has spasmodic torticollis of the head and neck. She was diagnosed with MRSA and Blepheritis in her left eye in Aug 2008....her eye has not opened since then. She has since Christmas developed a dull cough, has sporadic and violent bursts of vomiting; pain in the right hand side of of her lower chest; she is tired and weak and has no appetite.
She is given Botulinum toxin injections into her neck every 12 weeks to treat the torticollis. We feel that she may have been given the wrong strain of botulinum as her vomiting, pain in chest, cough and lost appetite has occurred since three days after her last botulinum injections.
She now has to go for chest xrays and is having a number of blood tests. understandably we are extremely worried, but have been through much in relation to her health. Do you have any suggestions based on the symptoms?
