What Causes Chest Pain In Upper Left Area?

I recently started having chest pains. Have been checked out by cardiologist. Had a stress test, then a heart cath. No blockage. The doctor did start me on blood pressure meds. Being checked to see if my Acid Reflux and Hiatel Hernia is caused more damage by having a upper gi this week. My chest is still hurting in the left upper area. Has started hurting today while breathing. I am a 42 year old female, my father passed away at the age of 46. Do I just keep eliminating the issues? Did try nitro today to see if pain would stop?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
No need to take nitro for your chest pain because you are not having cardiac chest pain and nitroglycerin is given in cardiac chest pain only.
No need to worry for major heart or lung related diseases.
You are thinking too much about your chest pain.
And this causes stress and anxiety and they inturn cause further chest pain.
So avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
No need fir further tests.
Take simple painkiller like ibuprofen and you will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
