shooting pains
I keep having little shooting pains in my chest up to my left smolder. I am over weight. I have a 5 month old and so I now weigh 202 pounds and have high blood
pressure. so today I start feeling this again. its been a while since maybe similar problem, but not the same. I hate to make a big deal over nothing. I want to go to the doctor about weightloss as soon as I quit nursing my baby, which could be soon. but im afraid if I mention any kind of shooting pain that she will not put me on any help me for weightloss .

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Since you are overweight and having high blood pressure, better to first rule out heart diseases because left sided chest and shoulder pain are common in heart diseases.
So get done ecg and 2d echo.
If both are normal then no need to worry for heart diseases.
Musculoskeletal pain is another possibility because of carrying of baby.
So take painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs. Apply warm water pad on affected areas.
For weight reduction, strict dieting is needed. Along with dieting, do regular aerobic exercise like running, cycling, swimming etc.
You can go to aerobics and gym.
Don't worry, you will be alright. But first rule out heart diseases.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
