What Causes Chest Pains?

I Have had chest pains about 3 times in the last 6 mos. It happens at night in bed. I wake up with pain in my chest that feels like a tightness that hurts for approx 1/2 to 45 min. I have taken an asprin at the time that seems to help reduce the pain for a bit. Iastnight I took my blood pressure and lt was 172/81. The pain also went across my Back.

I really appreciate your concern if you have a chest pain and that is happens in the night and long lasting more than half an hour then this could be acid peptic disease (Reflex esophagitis would be likely) stop taking aspirin, if I would be your doctor then I would treat this such case with the following medicines,
1) Tab Omeprazole 40 mg once in day at evening time
2) Tab Domeperidone 30 mg once in day at evening time
beside this to get done the EKG test also advisable, stop smoking, drinking alcohol, coffee prior to bed, hope this information helps you have nice day.
