What Causes Chills, Fever, Headache, Body Aches And Tingling In Fingertips?

I have been feeling severe chills. With a fever, headache, body aches, this includes both joint and muscle, specifically in my lower back. My fingertips are numb and tingling. I ve been trying to keep warm and move them around to get circulation going, but they don t seem to stop. Should I continue trying to rest because I feel exhausted? Do I need to see a doctor?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Welcome to HCM.

Patients with complains as you have mentioned i would advice them to do a haemogram blood test to look whether bacterial or viral infection is present in body for causing fever.
I would advice for further investigations-
1.Blood sugar -fasting and post meal
2.Vitamin B12 and folic acid levels
3.Thyroid function test.
These are related to these disorders causing tingling and numbness in fingers
Follow up with these reports to a local doctor.
Yaa fever do uses up more body energy and loss of body salts which results in feeling of weakness.
Adv-Take rest.
Take plenty of fluids.

Thanks and regards
