What Causes Chills, Shakiness And Aches In Arms?

Hello, I have a question. What s the cause for having chills, shakiness and aches in the arms? There s no fever, coughing, sneezing, soar throat, nausea etc. The surrounding environment is warm, food and water has been consumed just hours before hand and it came on suddenly... I have no clue what it could be and am concerned.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Chills that start abruptly are generally due to a fever being build up. In the beginning, if you measure your temperature while you are having the chills the temperature may be normal. If you measure your temperature after the chills have subsided and you feel warm very likely it will show high fever.

You can take paracetamol and ibuprofen to help with the temperature and the pains and if you notice no improvement or you notice any worsening, you will need a check with your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
