What Causes Chronic Constipation Despite Giving Lactulose To An Infant?

my 5 years old daughter has severe constipation. after giving lactulose 10 ml she started passing motion liitle every 10-15 miniutes. Even after 4 of lactulose, dewormis medicine still same situation. now almost 7 days. please suggest some medicine for clearing motion freely once.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your daughter have symptoms of chronic constipation despite giving Lactulose which can occur due to many reasons and it is extremely important to find out the exact cause. It seems to be due to lactose intolerance and due to lack of fibres in diet. Need not to worry. Drink one spoon of honey in warm water daily. This will be really helpful. I would advise you to consult a physician or gastroenterologist and get examination done like complete blood count, stool examination, ultrasound scan of abdomen, colonoscopy & contrast studies. You should start treatment after complete examination. Doctor may prescribe you traditional drugs like lactulose, milk of magnesia and cremaffin or bisacodyl tablets..
