What Causes Chronic Constipation Despite Taking Laxatives?
I m asking for a friend who doesn t have access to the internet and doesn t have transportation. He s been constipated for 36 hours. Today he took an over the counter laxative at least twice with no results. I guess he doesn t have anything else. What can I get for him?

Please advise him to take:
- Psyllium or prunes fiber supplement twice daily until full bowel movement
- Water, avoid teas or alcohol
- Apply anal enema
If still no bowel movement, and if he will be in pain, should send to ER.
