Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my daughter has body pain it is severe this is not from an injury when she gets sick she has an ice pack on her forehead has chills and her body hurts you cant touch her because of this she doesn t have a fever even though she uses the ice pack constantly any help?
Common causes for body pains are vitamin-D deficiency, anemia, stress, fibromyalgia. AS your daughter was also having headache, we can suspect fibromyalgia and stress. In these 2 cases headache is associated.
Go for blood tests of Vit-D and Hemoglobin to rule out Vit-D deficiency and anemia. In case of stress you can relieve stress conditions and use antidepressants like Duloxetine. In case of myalgia use a muscle relaxantCyclobenzaprine.
Ice packs will definitely help to some extent.
Take Care!
