General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You have not mentioned anything about your past illnesses. However, chronic pain in the hands, wrists & shoulders may be indicative of overuse or excessive exercises.

You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP. Get blood, urinalysis & imaging tests done to detect the pathology causing the discomfort.

The cause can be RA, OA, Rheumatoid syndrome, Fibromyalgia, tendon/ligament, muscle strain or tear, pinched nerve or injury to the Brachial plexus.

If you feel numbness or tingling sensation, it may be due to developing peripheral neuropathy.

To stay on the safer side get Nerve conduction tests, nerve biopsy & imaging tests done.

Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected & your clinical condition. In the meantime take NSAIDS, naproxen, one sos for relieve from pain & also vitamin B6, B12 supplements.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K
