What Causes Chronic Pain In Lower Left Abdomen?

I have a chronic pain in my lower left abdomen. It comes and goes and sometimes gets moderately painful. I have had a complete hysterectomy, removing my uterus and ovaries 18 years ago. I also have Graves disease and have had my thyroid disabled with three rounds of radiation therapy over 15 years ago. In the past year I have developed severe allergic reactions to many organic and inorganic things. That is my medical history in a nutshell. Do you think the pain in my lower abdomen is a scar tissue buildup? I have not run a fever during or after the pain. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.
I've gone through your query. I can understand your anxiety.

Steroid injection when given as epidural or intra-articular injections, patients might experience low back pain, chest tightness, facial erythema and profuse sweating.

Also repeated injections can increase the risk factors of heart disease like high blood pressure, diabetes, and obesity.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya V, General and family physician.
