What Causes Chronic Pain In Right Upper Quadrant?

hi am martin, 22yrs i have been having chronic pain in my right upper quadrant for almost 1 year, its comes and disappers, so yesterday i felt so pain in the same place so i tired to palpate the same area and felt some solid organ, what could be the underlying cause and whats the possible treatment, thanksm

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Chronic pain in right upper quadrant is most commonly due to duodenal (1st part of small) ulcers, Indigestion, gall stones, fatty liver problem & could also be of muscular origin.
Pain due to indigestion, gall stones or duodenal ulcer would occur after having your meals. Muscular pain would occur on movement of body part. Liver problem is suspected in case of chronic alcoholism.
The solid structure you are palpating is liver & is normally felt on right side in lean persons.

So you should visit a physician, if problem persists or worsens
