Hi I do not know how to do this but I m going to try so thank you for patience. I am 54 disabled, on Aetna Medicare and only have a primary care and honestly do very poorly with doctors. I am now experienc ing episodes of blackout pain from deep within hip groin area and PCP did finally order MRI of hip- I I knew it was not the same pain as the osteoporosis or osteoarthritis or just age I am extremely concerned as it showed a 1.1 CM lesion within the left inferior iliac bone and then says features suggestive of chondroid Matrix tumor (enchondroma). From there I have been trying to track down who to follow up with? The oncologist I tried to call said go to orthopedist, the orthopedist insist go to an oncologist because of suggestion of tumor. My white blood cell count platelets and lymphocytes Are low. I really appreciate any direction and it would be a tremendous blessing thank you
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As there is presence of enchondroma involving iliac bone, I strongly recommend a CT guided biopsy for histopathologic confirmation and further management guidelines.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
