What Causes Chronic Pain In The Knee?

I hurt my knee somehow, it is painful to walk, feels like a muscle in the back is prevented it from relaxing totally, I can bear weight, I ve been riding a bicycle applying ice then heat to make it feel better, it feels better but still painful to walk any suggestions

Welcome to HCM.
The pain may be due to ligament strain or tear caused by trauma.

A physical examination by orthopaedician is necessary.
Take tab ibuprofen twice for 5 days with antacids.
Keep applying locally ice pack for 15-20 minutes 3-4 times a day.
Knee support cap may help in healing.
Avoid any vigorous activity till it heals.
Strengthening muscles around joint and joint exercises under physiotherapist.
