I ve been experiencing chronic pain for about four years now. Typically in the upper abdominal region to the back, up the shoulder, to the neck. Tends to be on the right side. I was in the ER last Tuesday and the doctors there indicated it might be a gallbladder issue. When I saw my primary physician, they sent me for a HIDA scan. The tests at the ER and the HIDA scan all came back normal, but this morning, I took the prescribed anti-nausea medicine and some applesauce (I can t eat anything except for applesauce and broth, and haven t been able to for the past week) and then vomited. I was directed to go back to the ER and they took my blood and ran tests and it came back as normal. Is there anything else that we can look at? Are there any other reasons that would be causing this chronic pain that pretends to be a gallbladder issue?
