General Surgeon 's  Response
In all probability, you have sprained your wrist when you did the handstand. Ligaments could have been over stretched of may be a fey fibers could be torn. Rest to the hand for 4 to 6 weeks is the main treatment. Do not use the hand for any hard work till complete resolution of pain, and complete healing. You may please get an X Ray of the hand, AP, Lateral and Oblique views to rule out a fracture. You may then consult an Orthopedic surgeon, if there are any doubts of fracture of the bones of your hand.
