What Causes Chronic Pain In Upper Abdomen?

I am having chronic pain in my upper stomach. I have tried to track when it is the most painful, such as on an empty stomach or after eating. It typically is worse on an empty stomach; however, today it has been hurting after I eat as well. Any suggestions on how to ease the pain?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It seems to be originating from stomach like acid peptic disease and may get relief with antacids like omerperazole before meals alongside motility agents like domperidone or itapride. Ultrasound abdomen may be needed to rule out other pathologies but most appropriate would be endoscopy to confirm.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
