Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a section of my lower lip where it feels cold. It's hard to explain. When I lick my lips, that spot feels excessively cold and there can be a bit of pain, nor servere pain, but a little. I had 2 cold sores in that area in the past 6 months, and I'd never had them before. I'm very concerned.
As per your query cold sensation on lower lip and cold sores is because of anxiety, stress and low calcium levels in your body. This situation resolves its own once stress level will be lowered down, sometimes it is associated with systemic diseases such as Raynaud's Phenomenon.
I would suggest you to avoid carbonated drinks in your diet. Use petroleum jelly as that is most effective in cold sensation of lips. stop using certain food articles which will trigger your response. Try to stay calm and it will go away on its own. Take calcium rich tablet once daily for few days.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
