What Causes Cold Sore Along With Redness On The Face Be Treated?

My co workers and I have been passing around a flu or virus that has affected us all diferently...i have cold sores, some times chills, tire easy, a little congestion, and my throat and face is covered with a redness that moved up from my throat about the same time as the cold sores...a doctor years ago told me it was my response to a viral rise...is there anything I can do to help it go away...taking anti inflammatory ibuprophen and aspirin, zinc, Lysine and appling coocnt oil ( after trying other soothers ) to my kin ...happened a couple of months with worse cold and then went away...

Hi..

Well, the explanation is pointing towards mild inflammation leading to redness that can appear as a mild rash or flushed appearrence of face..

You can apply ice packs over the red areas atleast 2-3 times a day and along with it you can also wash your face with cool water many times a day..

You can apply calamine lotion as it can also help in reducing inflammation.
Drink plenty of water.
Apply cool aloevera gel over the face..

Rose water application can also be soothing..
