What Causes Consistent Pain In Shoulder And Bicep ?
I m a 51 yr old female who has developed pain in my right shoulder with a constant pain in my bicep. I am unable to cross my right hand to my left shoulder (across my chest). My arm is frozen and won t move further. Now here s the problem. I had frozen shoulder in the arm in 2013. With many other issues, bicep tendonitis and tears , had MUA during surgery and worked very hard with physical therapy to get this arm to work. Now approximately 2 months ago this pain has developed and is getting worse. I m afraid frozen shoulder is returning. Can this condition return?
I share your concerns about frozen shoulder and its returning back. Shoulder injuries are most difficult injuries to treat. Its again difficult to maintain shoulder joint in perfect condition once operated or having had some problem with it. So in my opinion , you have again got the same problem.
However other conditions are also possible like fresh injury, some long term complications like fibrosis due to earlier injuries, overexertion or some trapped nerve at cervical vertebrae levels.
You need to visit your orthopaedician for x ray/mri to come to a diagnosis and treatment. You will require phphysiotherapy, pain relief medicines, heat therapy, some rest to the shoulder.
I hope my reply will help you. Please write to us for more questions. I wish you good health and rapid recovery. Kindly rate this reply. Thanks
