What Causes Consistent Pain In Stomach Radiating Under Sternum?

I am having severe pain in my stomach from my naval to just under the chest bone. It is hard for me to eat because when I do my stomach hurts even more..It doesn t matter what position I am in the pain is still there... What do you think it could possibly be?

hi, is the pain burning like? because if it could be a peptic ulcer, that is an illness that causes pain even when you eat, and it is serious, for that reason is the fist diagnostic to discard, another cause of pain in this site is pancreatitis, gastritis, duodenitis and in some rare cases heart diseases, but any way whatever is the cause you must visit your physician.
