What Causes Constant Dizziness After Being Punched In Face?

My boyfriend got a punch in the face at the weekend when out with friends. He fell back and hit his head. Since Monday he has been dizzy and went to the doctor on Wed who said it was vertigo (my boyfriend had vertigo a couple of years ago just on the odd occasion). the medication is not working as he is still dizzy/tired/drowsy. Could this be the result of the punch and fall on Sat night or do you think it is vertigo and the tablets will take a while to work?

HI
Well come to HCM
I appreciate your concern, you said your boyfriend had a history of vertigo before the punch injury, so right now the vertigo may not be due to the history of blow of punch, if medicine is not working then this need to be investigated, and the best option would be CT brain this would clear the doubt, hope this information helps, take care.
