What Causes Constant Headaches And Unevenly Dilated Pupils In A Child?
My 5 year old daughter has had constant headaches since Sunday May 23rd 2010. Along with the headaches, Her pupils are dialated unevenly, she has a fever, is very tired and kind of a stick neck. I have taken her to the Doctors and they don t think meningitis however they are not giving me answers. Just kind of telling me its viral and I think theres more to it. Shes just not the same kid the past 3 days. Is there more to it or am I over reacting?? _ I did have her to the eye doctor and her sight is perfect.
As the doctor has seen her personally and assessed, most likely this will be viral only. Missing pyogenic meningitis is unlikely after a direct examination. You can give her Paracetamol 6 hourly for 48-72 hours. If symptoms persists beyond that, we can definitely evaluate further; until then no reason to worry.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
