What Causes Constant Severe Headaches Along With Dizziness And Nausea?

My mother has been dealing with severe headaches and nausea almost everyday for about a year. Her symptoms are: a loud buzzing in both ears, followed by severe dizziness, headache and nausea. Also before these symptoms and during she burps a lot. My mother has noticed that throwing up relieves most of the symptoms but does not heal her completely. She has gotten X-rays and tests done on her brain but no signs of anything abnormal. I recommended She gets an appointment with an ear specialist since I believe it may be an imbalance in her cochlea. However, I was not aware of the burping and throwing up. This makes me believe it may actually be an intestinal problem? Please help my mother feel better, anyone. -a worried son

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of constant severe headaches along with dizziness and nausea. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons like food poisoning , food allergy , infection of digestive system , gas , stomach flu or colic . You should take oral rehydration solution as well. I would suggest you to sips of water or other clear fluids on a very frequent basis. You should avoid solid foods for a few hours try small amounts of mild foods such as rice, applesauce and do not take foods or drinks caffeine , carbonated beverages , citrus and dairy products. Take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain.If condition doesn't get better then consult gastroenterologist for proper examination and get complete examination done. Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drug , antibiotics ,analgesic and antacid . Doctor may also refer you to ENT special;ist for dizziness.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
