What Causes Constipation And Indigestion?

I have been suffering from constipation and indigestion for the past 3.5 years. Initially it was mainly constipation, but now it has morphed into a complete lack of appetite, weakness along with intractable constipation. I take Naturolax every night, but even after that I need to go to the bathroom at least 5-6 times to feel empty. Many days even that is not enough. I have constant tenesmus throughout the day, no appetite and am chronically weak and lethargic. I have had multiple scopies (both endo and colono) with segmental biopsies, but nothing has been found out. The only diagnosis that I have got from the doctors is one of IBS. But I am sure there is something else to this. I am slowly losing the will to live. Please help me!!

Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of constipation and indigestion for the last 3.5 years, lack of appetite, weakness. Takes Naturolax, has to go to the toilet at least 5-6 times for feeling evacuated. On of cause was said to be IBS...
With the varies symptoms that you have noted, I would advise you to undergo the tests of blood, stool and urine, Ultrasonography and CT scan of the abdomen so that the cause is found and well treated.
If all the tests are normal then only you can be treated on the grounds of IBS.
Control of stress and/or anxiety is of utmost importance.
