I have had several rectal colon problems from intersusseption to rectal ceeles to enteroceeles. psyterotomies. Till now my parastalisys has gotten not so good. Plus from i think taking so much laxatives to get my body to work, i have developed pvcs which i take flecainide for as well. I seem to have a real problem with my abdomen lately being very distended and i've gained weight where i've been pretty much thin prior to the heart problem. I'm looking for a way to improve the parastalysis so i can maybe improve the bowel function if possible. then i believe the lack of laxative need will also improve. Also i've recently had major back fusion. So i do take pain meds which i know are also constipating. I have cut back on those already to half of what i took before. I recently had a colonoscopy and endoscopy and they came out ok. Other than acid reflux. I've been so bloated lately i feel like my stomache wants to bust i really have a hard time eating very much. I still am swollen and have gained at least 6 to 8 lbs in the last few months from my back surgery. Oh and i forgot to mention these surgeries included a partial colectomy. about 90- percent. They just hooked me back up with the small intestine. My Dr. in oregon is pretty specialized. He did find a small rectoceele, but felt that it isn't the main culprit of my constant constipation. He asked if i want to wear a bag as an option. I really am not ready for that yet if i can help it. Could i have a blockage that a defecography couldn't be showing from adhesions. Thats what i'm wondering about all this bloating when everything looks fairly ok, except the constipation and swelling and distented abdomen. I am on miralax once a day and make sure i have a bowel movement dailey. I Still have terribly swelling after i eat and feel very uncomfortable. Please help if anyone has any ideas.
