BTW, I don t get fever like it usually said with laryngitis but past visit to the clinic confirm I have one...
Cough and cold is not due to pregnancy. It seems that you have caught viral infection with superadded bacterial infection.
Please report to your Obstetrician.
You may have to take some antibiotics to resolve the infection. However, at 8 weeks of pregnancy, many antibiotics are contraindicated as they cause adverse effects on the growing baby. So do not take any antibiotics without Obstetrician's advice.
The usual decongestants to be taken for common cold also should be scrutinized thoroughly. Many of them have bad effect on the growing baby at 8 weeks. The best remedy would be hot fomentations.
Some antipyretics like paracetamol may help and give you symptomatic relief.
I hope you are satisfied with the advice.
