What Causes Cracking Sensation On Cricoid Cartilage On Applying Pressure?
During a Jiu-Jitsu training session, approximately 2 hours ago, i had a wrist forced against my neck applying pressure and the pressure led to me feeling a popping or cracking sensation to the left of my cricoid cartilage. Curious as to whether i should seek a doctor s care? I ve had no airway compromise, no swelling, and really no issues at all except tenderness to touch and some discomfort swallowing; though not unbearable pain.
Hello, Welcome to HCM. I understand your concern. This kind cracking sensation on pressing cricoid cartilage is normal and there is no reason to seek a doctor's care. Tenderness is due to pressure applied during the training and will go away in a day or two. Hope this will be helpful. Thanks for your question. Take care.
