What Causes Cyst In Ovary When Suffering From Lower Back Pain Caused Due To Kidney Stones?

Hey

I just got an ultrasound of my lowed abdomen for analysis of a stone in my kidney.
the good news was that the stone i had in my kidneys has drained out; but the ultrasound shows a cyst in the ovary.
The report says " Left Ovary showed follicular retention cyst measuring 3.4 cm x 3.4 cm".
The important thing is that there was no cyst in my ovaries, a week back in the previous ultrasound.
I had pain in my lower back left wide; due to a stone in my kidney. and from today I had pain in my lower abdomen ; itching but not continous.
I feel itchy pain when i move.

What should i do?
is the Cyst Risky> or will it go away on its own.
Is it too big or normal

Should i visit my gynocologist?

a 3.4 cm cyst is usually normal, especially if it was a simple cyst. (a simple cyst is like a bubble of clear fluid, a more complicated cyst may have solid components or have septations in it, and may represent something else - but most cysts are simple) They will usually go away on their own. You should ask your doctor if the cyst appeared simple, and if you can get a repeat ultrasound in six weeks. I guess that it was a simple cyst, because they would have told you if it appeared more complicated. But you should probably ask your doctor anyway just to make sure. The repeat in six weeks will usually show that it is gone. I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any further questions.
