Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Debilitating Fatigue And Sleeplessness While Treating TIA?
My now 84 year old sister had a TIA in August of 2014. The effects lasted for about 20 -30 minutes, but she was hospitalized overnight and the dr. started her on Plavix/Clopidigrel. A year later, she is still taking it and is suffering from severe, dibilitating fatigue. She can t sleep throughout the night, because she has to get up to go to the bathroom 4 - 5 times. The dr. never followed up on any of this. Could this be causing the fatigue?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if this is TIA in its pure form well defined then it may cause fatigue and this could be more intensify due to geriatric age group, such case may need proper nursing care along with the medicines else this is nothing to worry, hope this information helps, take care and have nice day.
