Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I suddenly developed ( in one night) three deep wrinkles on the left side of my face. The right side is normal. No wrinkles. People have commented on the weird site. I had walked in on a medical program a couple of weeks ago. I only got that wrinkles on one side of the face, plus one of the major organs was found to be something connected. With medicine it took 3-4 months to clear up. Really need to find out what is going on. Oh, the 3 wrinkles are about 1 and 1/2 in. deep and are vertical. Thank you for any help you can find for me.
Asymmetry of the face can sometimes be related to the nerves supplying one side of the face. Abnormal functioning of the nerves in that area can cause the wrinkles on one side of the face only.
You would need to consider seeing a neurologist for assessment of the nerves. Imaging such as CT along with blood tests would be needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James,
General & Family Physician
