What Causes Delay In Menstruation While On Antibiotics For An Infection?

hi i had my period on 26/04/2015 and i was booked for an hsg test on the 5/5/2015 had my hsg test on 5/5/2015 after one week i dicovered i have an infections and my doctor placed me on antiobiotic and 5days injections and up till date my period has refused to come,pls what can do?

Hi,

The delay in periods you had. It could be due to infection stress / weakness following antibiotics. Also, there are remote chances of pregnancy if you had sex during ovulation time. A pregnancy test after 8 days delay in periods would exclude pregnancy / even USG at 5 week pregnancy can diagnose pregnancy. In case of absent pregnancy you would be offered medicines to induce periods.
