General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Endometrial tissue from the lining of uterus escapes the uterine cavity & settles anywhere in the abdominal cavity to grow according to menstrual hormonal changes. This causes symptoms & the Duoluton like hormonal preparations check the growth of endometrium & menstrual irregularities to relieve the pain & other symptoms of endometrial cyst.
Duoluton being a hormonal preparation reduces normal endometrial growth of the endometrium, tends to reduce the menstrual flow. This is the cause in f your scanty bleeding. Please follow your doctor's advise & take prescribed courses of the drug... one of treatment for your problem.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
