What Causes Delayed Menstruation After Taking I-pill?
I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on 13th April around 2am (which is technically 14th April). Then on 14th April again I had unprotected sex twice late in night. I took the i-pill on 16th April around 7pm. In the month of March my periods started on 29th. There is usually a month gap between my cycles. Today is 2nd May. I haven t got my periods. Is there a chance of pregnancy? What am I suppose to do now. Kindly give a quick answer. Egarly waiting.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
If you had taken I pill within 72 hours of the 1st sex on 13th. There is less chance of pregnancy. The delay of 8 days from expected date of periods is common after the I-pills. If the delay is more than that. You can have home pregnancy test and go for MTP if it's positive (the I pill is hazardous for fetal well being, so it's better to terminate).
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
