General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Normal menstrual cycles will occur 3 to 4 months after stopping the Depo injection. After stopping the injections, your hormone levels fall all of a sudden and your body needs time to adjust to the decreasing hormones. By 3 to 4 months, your levels normalize and menstrual cycles will occur normally.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
