General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

From the time of conception, a woman's body goes through a lot of changes, all alongside the changing levels of hormones.

Therefore, as long as a mother is breastfeeding her baby, the hormone remains actively in circulation and prevents the ovulation process.

Immediately after having the baby, the postpartum bleeding occurs for a few days and then stops.

Usually, there is a considerable gap between postpartum bleeding and the first regular period.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
