What Causes Delayed Menstruation While On Nexplanon?
I am on birth control and nexplanon. My boyfriend has been gone a month and my period is seven days late. I was already back on birth control before he left because my period ended two days before he left. I took a test that came out negative. Could I still be pregnant? Should I start taking my birth control pills again and skip this month?
The periods delay can't be due to pregnancy if you started it two days before menstruation, and had unprotected sex before that, but since menses came afterwards and if proper bleeding had occurred for 6-7 days then implantation bleed is less likely. After he has left you have been on pills which can cause hormonal imbalance and can cause menstrual irregularities however for reassurance you can have an ultrasound pelvis for any other cause of periods irregularities.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
