Hello,
1. As there was a history of unprotected sex with the use of
contraceptive pill thus following is my opinion:
i. Since birth control pills are a form of
contraception which helps prevent ovulation and change the uterine lining thus after stopping them it will take your body to adjust to the natural/normal menstrual cycle and you may take pregnancy or consult with a gynecologist.
It is possible to become pregnant just a few days after you stop taking birth control pills so check with your doctors for any questions/concerns.
- Tablet
Regesterone (
Norethisterone) 1 tab twice daily for 7 days. If there is no withdrawal bleeding, then
- Take Ovral-G for 21 days (estrogen +
progesterone). If there is no withdrawal bleeding after this course, then ask a gynecologist to rule out any underlying pathologies
2. Anxiety related with a missed period is also a factor for the same, so stay calm and practice a relaxation technique
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Munish Sood
