Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.
The symptoms you are experiencing might be caused by an infection and having a gynecological visit with cervical samples taken for chlamydia and gonorrhea is of help. During the examination the doctor will have information (even before the results of the tests come out) and he might prescribe antibiotics for you and for your partner if he finds signs of pelvic inflammatory disease.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Kind regards, Antoneta Zotaj, MD
