What Causes Delayed Periods And Negative Pregnancy Test?
Dear doctor, I am a 24 year old female. I have missed a period this last month. Even though there isnt a chance of pregnancy but still i took two home pregnancy tests both of which were negative. Ihave been on isotretinoin treatment since december. I am a little worried as to what the reason could be. Please Help!

It is good that the pregnancy test is negetive ,as pregnancy is not advisable during treatment with isotretinion.
Isotretinion can harm the fetus and result in birth defects.
Your period could be delayed due to a lot of reasons.
Stress,exertion or hormonal imbalance could be the cause.
You could take progesterone for withdrawal bleeding under the guidance of a gynaecologist.
Please do take proper contraceptive measures,and take caution for atleast after completion of 1 month after isotretenion therapy.
