What Causes Delayed Periods While Suffering From Stress?
My question is if there is possibility me being pregnant. I m 35 and usually have regular cykle 28 29 days. This one was odd I had some brown discharge in the middle for about 3 days. I had seks with husband 3 days before expected period with condom. Now I m late 4 days and stressing out. It is too early for test as only been week from seks. So worried don t know what to do. I could add that I was changing my job recently and was a bit stressful.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Stress usually alters the normal menstrual cycle, so, there is no need to worry about it. You can still take a pregnancy test to be sure, although one week before normal menstruation is considered a safe period.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Purnima Sharma
