What Causes Depression And Anxiety Inspite Of Taking Lexapro And Ativan?

my husband is being treated for depression and anxiety with lexapro and ativan . His symptoms have improved but he has no motivation, self confidence or energy. He still experiences some anxiety in the morning and though the depression has improved he doesn t feel any real joy. He says he s confused and can t make decisions. He retired about a year ago and we moved to be near our kids. He seems to have lost his identity. Can you help.

- low response to medications

- improper drug intake

- recent starting of therapy ( where the receptors are taking time to respond )

- partial response to proper therapy

- lack of social support

- simultaneous intake of other drugs which hamper the digestion of drug and active metabolism is less in liver P 450 enzyme system.
