What Causes Depression In A Person Working With Batteries?
My brother was in a watch business changing batteries, etc.he had an episode on the job 1 day. He ended up in a psych ward for 3!wks.!since then he is seeing neurogist for different symptoms. Shutting down to talking nonstop to fearful moods could he have been exposed over time to Opioids and maybe fentynel . He has lost some coordination . He stays wrapped up In a blanket saying he is cold .!he is antdidrpressantd and other forms of psychotic drugs. His neurologirts have different DX. And he has an appt with Cleveland clinic. Do u think he could have been exposed with metal to skin contact. He does not take any opioids thank you
Greetings Welcome to Healthcaremagic. When we hear about mood problems in patients who work with batteries the first and the most important issue that comes to mind is Lead Poisining. Your brother has all the complains of lead poisining that takes place when people handle batteries as a profession. Therefore it is strongly advised to visit your physician regarding Lead Toxicity who will get some tests and start a treatment called as Chelating agents. This will lower the body levels of lead . I hope the answer was helpfull. In case you need any further assistance then feel free to contact in writing. Regards Dr Talal
